Learn to paint and quilt with handmade Japanese paper
This is the first chance to take a workshop in Australia with the extraordinary contemporary Japanese quilter Yasuko Saito. The president of the Japan Contemporary Quilt Association and longtime Nihon Vogue teacher of art quilting, she had been a longtime exhibitor and prize winner in Japan, the US and Europe.
This is a very special opportunity to learn her highly original techniques using handmade Japanese paper and Japanese and French inks to make exciting contemporary quilts.
Yasuko Saito is the only person in the world to teach this technique and has taught sold-out classes in Europe and the US.

"I myself would like to create pieces that are subtle yet profound," says Saito, and she also shares her true feelings with her students at the Vogue Quilt School where she teaches.
"Why don't you be more open? Think of all of yourself, the good and the bad, and that's the source of your individuality. Leave behind at least one piece of work that only you can create. If you don't start when you realize it, then when will you ever get to do it," she tells her students, but it's nothing more than a reminder to herself.
"We only have one life, so we don't have time," says Saito with a bright smile.
